Even if you’re the most diligent tooth polisher and you floss and clean your teeth very carefully, there’s still nothing like a professional clean of your teeth by a dentist or hygienist!
‘Scale and polish’ is a common technique that gets rid of really difficult plaque and tartar stuck on your teeth. It also finds plaque in places in your mouth that you can’t get at with a toothbrush, like deep below the gum lines or trapped between two teeth.
We use a modern ultrasonic scaler that scrapes any really tough plaque off your teeth. Then a water spray flushes out any rogue plaque, tartar or bits of food stuck between your teeth.
Ultrasonic scaling with polishing afterwards leaves your teeth hygienically clean and fresh. The polish will make you feel good and your teeth sparkling and clean.
