Ian graduated from Sydney University in 1978 and started his Dee Why dental practice in 1980, determined to deliver professional, modern and affordable dental care to local families.
When Ian bought the dental clinic, it was very run down and needed a lot of work, but he had a vision of high quality care and this required the latest in medical equipment.
Slowly the practice grew as Ian built up a profile and invested in the equipment to make the surgery hi-tech and modern.
Now, almost forty years later, the practice is thriving and it enjoys a reputation as one of the highest quality dentists in the Northern Beaches. Because Ian has built up such a longstanding relationship with his clients, it means he knows their medical history and is able to diagnose things other dentists may not. For instance, genetic health.

Ian is very meticulous in his work, believing in giving each patient their own comprehensive health plan and making sure they’re happy every step of the way.
“I will never push any dental work on a client. I’ll always work with their financial and emotional needs as well as their dental needs.”
Ian still loves the Northern Beaches as much as when he first moved here. When he’s not helping his patients, he still has a very active lifestyle: playing golf, going to the beach, working out at the gym or spending time with his four grandkids.
